Pro. This feature requires WB Member Blog Pro. The free plugin must be installed and active first. See the Pro index for every Pro module.
Sell post credits directly: create packs such as “10 credits for 9.99”, show them on a page, and credits are added to the buyer’s balance when the order is paid. No membership plugin is needed.
Before You Start
Section titled “Before You Start”- WooCommerce is active, with a payment method set up.
- The Post Credits module is on.
- Credit Source is Membership Plugins Only or Both (Membership + Manual). With Manual Assignment Only, purchases add no credits.
- For monthly packs, WooCommerce Subscriptions is active as well.
Create a Credit Pack
Section titled “Create a Credit Pack”- Go to WB Plugins > Member Blog > Post Credits.
- In Credit Packs (WooCommerce), under Create New Credit Pack, fill in the fields.
- Click Create Pack.
| Field | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Pack Name | The name members see, such as “Starter Pack” | Required |
| Credits | Credits the pack adds | Required |
| Price | Price in your store currency | Required |
| Type | Lifetime (One-time): a single purchase. Subscription (Monthly): charged monthly, adding the credits each month. Only offered when WooCommerce Subscriptions is active. | Lifetime (One-time) |
| Description | Optional extra text for the product | Empty |
Each pack becomes a virtual WooCommerce product, limited to one per order. The product is hidden from your shop pages and from related-product lists, so it does not appear among your real catalogue.
Manage Packs
Section titled “Manage Packs”Existing Credit Packs lists every pack with its credits, price and type.
- The external-link icon opens a direct purchase link that goes straight to checkout with the pack in the cart. Use it in menus or emails.
- The pencil button opens Edit Credit Pack, where you change the name, credits, price, type or description, then click Save Changes.
- The trash button deletes the pack. Its WooCommerce product is deleted too. Credits members already bought are kept.
Show Packs to Members
Section titled “Show Packs to Members”Add the [bpmb_credit_packs] shortcode, or the Credit Packs block, to any page.
| Attribute | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
columns |
Cards per row. Never more than the number of packs; a single pack is shown as one wide card. | 3 |
Each card shows the pack name, the number of credits, what a credit buys (for example “1 credit = 1 published post”, based on your Credits per post), the price (with “/month” for subscriptions) and a Buy Now button. Buy Now adds the pack to the cart and takes the member straight to checkout.
When there is nothing to sell, the shortcode shows “No credit packs on sale yet” with “Packs of post credits will be available here soon.” This happens when no packs exist, and also when WooCommerce is not active. Administrators also see a hint explaining what to set up.
Tip: create a “Buy Credits” page with the shortcode, then enter that page as the Purchase URL in General Settings. Members who run low are then sent to it from the form’s Get more credits link.
When Credits Are Added
Section titled “When Credits Are Added”- Credits are added once per order, when the order reaches Processing or Completed.
- The order must belong to a member account. Members should be logged in when they buy.
- Monthly packs add the credits again on each successful renewal payment.
- The WooCommerce Orders list gains a Post Credits column showing what each order granted.
- Credits never expire and add to whatever the member already has.
Refunding an order in WooCommerce does not remove credits automatically. If you need to take credits back, remove them under Manual Credit Management on the Post Credits tab.
