Pro. This feature requires WB Member Blog Pro. The free plugin must be installed and active first. See the Pro index for every Pro module.

Every email Member Blog sends, from the free plugin and from Pro, is listed on one screen. Switch any of them off for everybody, or change its subject and text to match your site’s voice.

The screen is WB Plugins > Member Blog > Notification Emails. It appears while the Notifications module is on.

All emails use the free plugin’s shared template: a heading, a short message, one button, and an unsubscribe link, in your site’s email design with a plain-text version alongside. You can change the subject and the message. The heading and the button stay as built, so every email keeps the same look whatever you write.

  1. Go to WB Plugins > Member Blog > Notification Emails.
  2. Find the email. Each row shows its name, what triggers it and “Sent to:” who receives it.
  3. Open Edit subject and text under the row.
  4. Type a new Subject and Message. Leave a box empty to keep the built-in wording. Leave a blank line between paragraphs.
  5. Use the placeholders listed under the fields for that email.
  6. Click Save Settings.

The reading digest is built from the posts it lists, so it offers Edit subject only.

Turn off the switch on the email’s row and click Save Settings. It stops for everybody. To stop an email for one person only, that member uses the unsubscribe link in it, or their own preferences (see Your Notification Preferences).

Subject:

About your post on {site_name}

Message:

Hi, a reviewer sent "{post_title}" back with this note: {reason}
You can edit it and submit it again whenever you are ready.

The button to edit the post is added by the template, so the message does not need the link.

  • Keep it short. The message sits above one button. A sentence or two is enough.
  • Test after a change. Trigger the email (submit a post, approve one, leave a comment) and read it as received.
  • Match your voice across all the emails you change, not only one.
