Pro. This feature requires WB Member Blog Pro. The free plugin must be installed and active first. See the Pro index for every Pro module.

Group admins and moderators can feature posts on their group’s Blog tab. Featured posts are listed first and carry a Featured badge, so a group’s best or most important writing is the first thing members see.

This is separate from the free plugin’s site-wide featured posts, which editors control. Featuring a post in a group affects only that group’s Blog tab.

  1. Go to WB Plugins > Member Blog > Group Blogs.
  2. Under Featured Posts, tick Enable Featured Posts.
  3. Under Who can feature posts?, tick Group Admin, Group Moderator, or both. If neither is ticked, nobody can feature.
  4. Set Maximum Featured Posts per group (0 to 10; 0 means no limit). The default is 3.
  5. Click Save Settings.

Feature a post (group admins and moderators)

Section titled “Feature a post (group admins and moderators)”
  1. Open the group’s Blog tab.
  2. On the post, open the More actions menu.
  3. Click Feature. The post moves to the top of the list with a Featured badge.

To remove it, open the menu again and click Unfeature.

  • Scoped to one group. A group moderator’s Feature applies only to the group they moderate, and only to posts linked to that group. Being a moderator in one group gives no power over another group’s list.
  • Limit per group. When a group reaches the maximum, featuring another post shows “Maximum of 3 featured posts allowed per group.” Unfeature one first.
  • Badge only where it counts. The Featured badge appears on the group’s Blog tab only, not on the same post elsewhere on the site.
  • Two people at once. If two admins feature posts at the same moment, both changes are kept. If the list is busy, one sees “The featured list is being updated. Please try again in a moment.”
