Pro. This feature requires WB Member Blog Pro. The free plugin must be installed and active first. See the Pro index for every Pro module.

Choose which emails and on-site notifications you get about your posts and the writers you follow. This page is for members; site owners can find the site-wide settings in Notifications.

  1. Go to your member home: the Blog tab on your profile, or the site’s member dashboard page.
  2. Click the Settings tab, then Notifications.
  3. Tick the notifications you want and untick the ones you do not.
  4. Click Save Preferences.

If you do not see a Notifications section, the site has not turned it on.

Preference You get an email when Default
Notify me when my post is published A reviewer approves your post and it is published On
Notify me when my post is sent back / not approved A reviewer sends your post back, with their reason On
Notify me when a post is waiting for my review A member submits a post for review. Shown to reviewers only On

Comments, claps, new followers, view milestones, co-author invitations and scheduled posts send no email or notification.

Preference What it does Default
Tell me when a writer I follow publishes a post An email for each new post from writers you follow On
Send me a digest of what the writers I follow have published A periodic round-up instead of, or as well as, single emails Off

The digest is off unless you ask for it, and it is never sent when there is nothing new.

On sites with BuddyPress or BuddyBoss, with BuddyPress Notifications active, a third group sets the notification bell: post published, a writer you follow published, and post not approved. Reviewers also see a post waiting for their review. All are on by default. They are separate from the email choices, so you can have the bell without the email or the other way round.

If the site has turned off BuddyPress notifications, this group is replaced by a note saying the bell is not available.

Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. It opens a page with an Unsubscribe button; click it to turn off that one kind of email and leave the rest alone. It works without logging in. Email apps that show their own Unsubscribe button (such as Gmail) do the same thing. You can turn it back on here at any time.
