The Classic Editor is the familiar word-processor style editor from WordPress, with every formatting button in a toolbar above the writing area. It suits members who are used to the classic WordPress post screen or to desktop word processors.
The site owner chooses the editor for everyone under WB Plugins > Member Blog > Editor > Active editor (the option is Classic Editor (TinyMCE)). See Choosing the writing experience. Members cannot switch editors themselves.
Visual and Text
Section titled “Visual and Text”Two tabs sit above the editor:
- Visual shows the post formatted as you type. Most members stay here.
- Text shows the HTML. Use it only if you are comfortable with HTML.
Add Media
Section titled “Add Media”The Add Media button above the editor opens the WordPress media library. Upload a new image or pick one you uploaded before, choose its size and alignment, and insert it where the cursor is. Uploads follow the site’s normal WordPress media rules.
The featured image is separate. Set it in the Category, tags and image section of Post settings.
