Installation

You can install WP Career Board by uploading the plugin zip in wp-admin.

Before you begin

Check that your site has:

• WordPress 6.9 or higher
• PHP 8.1 or higher

Install the plugin

1. Log in to your WordPress admin (/wp-admin).
2. Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
3. Click Choose File and select the wp-career-board.zip file.
4. Click Install Now.
5. Click Activate Plugin.

After activation, the Career Board menu appears in your admin sidebar.

What you get on activation

• Content types for jobs, companies, applications, resumes and boards.
• Job lists you manage: category, job type, location, experience level and tag. See Categories, types, locations and experience levels.
• Three user roles: Employer, Candidate and Job Moderator.
• The Career Board menu, with Jobs, Applications, Candidates, Companies, Employers and Settings.
• A redirect to the Setup Wizard the first time you activate.

After activation

The Setup Wizard creates your pages and asks for your basic settings. See Setup wizard.

To run the wizard again, go to Career Board > Settings and click Re-run Setup Wizard at the bottom of the page.

Updating the plugin

1. Download the new zip.
2. Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
3. Upload the zip. WordPress asks if you want to replace the current version.
4. Click Replace current with uploaded.

Your jobs, applications and settings stay in place.
