Your credit balance
Pro feature - the Credits tab, buying credits and receipts come with WP Career Board Pro.
If your site charges credits to post jobs, you can see your balance in the Employer Dashboard, buy more credits and feature a job. The site owner sets the prices. Setup is in the admin credit guide.
See your balance
Section titled “See your balance”When a board would charge you, or you hold credits, the sidebar shows a Credits item with your balance as its badge. On a site where every board is free and you hold no credits, there is no Credits item. With Pro, click it to open the Credits tab. Without Pro the sidebar shows only the balance.
How credits are spent
Section titled “How credits are spent”- Credits are held when you submit a job to a board that charges.
- They are spent when the job goes live.
- They come back if the job does not go live, for example when a moderator rejects it.
If your balance is too short, the job is not created. You see “This job costs N credits. Your balance: M credits.” and a Buy credits button that opens the Credits tab. If the site owner switches credits off, no board charges anything.
If a moderator approves your job while your balance is too short, the job stays Pending and shows Awaiting payment in My Jobs until your balance covers it.
Featured job upgrades
Section titled “Featured job upgrades”If your site sells featured placement, you can spend credits to make a job list first. There are two ways:
- When you post - on the last step of the job form, tick “Feature this job: it lists first for N days (X credits)”. If the featuring charge fails, the job is still posted and you are told why it was not featured.
- Later - click Feature on a live job in My Jobs. You confirm the cost (“Featured jobs list first. This uses N credits from your balance.”) and the job gets a Featured badge.
The checkbox and the Feature button appear only when the site prices featuring. Featured status ends after the length of time the site owner set (30 days by default). The job stays live and only loses the boost. Click Feature again to renew it.
