You can configure the homepage settings from either of the following locations:
Dashboard >> Appearance >> Customize >> Homepage Settings or Dashboard >> Settings >> Readings.
Here we are exploring the first option:
You will get two options
- Your latest posts.
- A static page.
You can choose the content of the homepage of your site from the above two options. It can be a list of posts in reverse chronological order (classic blog) or a fixed/static page. To set a static homepage, you first need to create two Pages. One will become the homepage, and the other will be where your posts are displayed.
