Gutenberg Block
The Roadmap block lets you add and configure a roadmap visually in the block editor, without writing shortcode syntax.
Adding the block
Section titled “Adding the block”- Edit any page or post in the block editor.
- Click the + (Add Block) button.
- Search for “Roadmap”, or find Product Roadmap under the Roadmap block category.
- Click to insert it.
How the block works
Section titled “How the block works”The block is a thin wrapper over the free plugin’s [roadmap] shortcode. It shares the exact same option list as the shortcode - every attribute the shortcode accepts is available as a block setting, and the two can never drift apart because the block reads its options directly from the shortcode’s own option registry.
The block also renders a real, live preview of the actual board inside the editor canvas (not a static placeholder card), so what you see while editing is what visitors will see on the page.
Block settings
Section titled “Block settings”All settings live in the block sidebar panel, grouped the same way as the shortcode’s own attributes.
Content

| Product | Which product’s roadmap to show. Leave unset to show your default product. |
| Layout | Board, Timeline, List, Cards, Minimal, or Idea Box. Timeline only appears when Enable Timeline View is on. |
Filter
Section titled “Filter”| Setting | Description |

| Show only this status | Limit to one status. Visitors can still change it from the filter bar unless you hide filters. |
| Show only this category | Limit to one category. |
| Show only this priority | Limit to one priority: Low, Medium, High, Critical. |
| Target date from / to | Only show items with a target date in this range. |
| Sort by | Default, Most votes, Newest, Most comments, Priority, Title. |
| Number of items | 0-100. 0 shows every matching item with a Load more button. |
Display
Section titled “Display”| Setting | Description |

| Voting on this board | Follow the global setting, or hide voting on this board. Can’t turn voting on here if it’s off in Settings. |

Advanced
Section titled “Advanced”| Setting | Description |

| Mode | View (read-only) or Manage (lets editors add/edit items on the page). |
| Allow editing items on the page | Enables inline frontend editing in Manage mode. |
Copy shortcode
Section titled “Copy shortcode”Use the Copy Shortcode button in the block toolbar to get the equivalent [roadmap] shortcode for use elsewhere (widgets, other page builders, custom code).
Block alignment
Section titled “Block alignment”The block supports Wide and Full width alignment in addition to the default content width, useful for board and timeline layouts that benefit from extra horizontal space.
Older content
Section titled “Older content”If a page was built before 1.8.0, its saved block attributes (order, showVoting, showComments, showFilters, showSearch) are mapped automatically to the current option names when the block renders and when it’s reopened in the editor. You don’t need to manually update older pages.
