Guest Suggestions
Let logged-out visitors submit roadmap feature suggestions, without requiring an account.
Enabling
Section titled “Enabling”Go to Roadmap > Settings > Advanced and turn on Allow guest suggestions. It’s off by default.

Only Allow guest suggestions and the notification email have a control on the Advanced tab today; the others are adjustable with update_option() or WP-CLI (wp option update roadmap_pro_guest_suggestion_rate_limit_per_ip 5). In 1.8.0 the submission handler reads only the per-IP rate limit; the name, email, per-email limit and auto-approve options are stored but not yet read by it. Name and email are always required by the REST endpoint, and submissions always arrive as pending.
Reviewing submissions
Section titled “Reviewing submissions”Go to Roadmap > Guest Suggestions (requires edit_posts). Each entry shows the guest’s name, email, and message alongside the standard item fields. Approve or reject submissions from this screen; a notification email goes to the configured notification address when a new suggestion arrives, and the guest is notified on a status change if that option is enabled.
Rate limiting
Section titled “Rate limiting”Submissions are capped per IP address per hour, using the limit above. A visitor who exceeds it receives a 429 rate_limit_exceeded response and must wait before submitting again.
Submitting via the frontend
Section titled “Submitting via the frontend”Guest suggestions submit through the board’s suggestion form when it’s shown to a logged-out visitor (see Idea Box template for a suggestion-focused layout), or programmatically:
