Supported LMS Platforms
LMS Notes detects the active LMS plugin and adapts automatically. One of the platforms below must be installed and active for LMS Notes to run.
LearnDash
Section titled “LearnDash”The most fully supported platform.
- Note icon on courses, lessons, topics, quizzes, and assignments.
- Enrollment check before showing the icon (open/free courses are excluded).
- Notes shown as a course > lesson > topic path.
- Optional notes section in the LearnDash profile (
[ld_profile]) and in the LearnDash Dashboard add-on. - Instructor and group-leader scoping so each instructor sees only their students’ notes.
LifterLMS
Section titled “LifterLMS”- Note icon on courses and lessons, with an enrollment check.
- Notes on a lesson are linked to their parent course.
- Instructor role (
instructor) scoping on the All Notes page.
Tutor LMS
Section titled “Tutor LMS”- Note icon on courses and lessons, with an enrollment check (public Tutor courses are always allowed).
- Notes on a lesson are linked to their parent course.
- Tutor instructor role (

Sensei LMS

Using more than one LMS
Section titled “Using more than one LMS”If multiple LMS plugins are active, the settings screen lists the post types from each detected platform so you can enable the note icon per type. The plugin’s course/student lookups follow the first detected LMS in this order: LearnDash, Tutor LMS, LifterLMS, Sensei LMS, LearnPress.
