Group and dashboard widgets
BuddyPress Statistics ships three group-aware widgets: two sidebar widgets and one WordPress Dashboard widget.

BP Stats - Group Analytics
Section titled “BP Stats - Group Analytics”Shows analytics for the group being viewed. Listed in Appearance > Widgets as BP Stats - Group Analytics (“Display detailed analytics for the current group page”).
When it shows
Section titled “When it shows”The widget only appears when all of these are true:
- The BuddyPress Groups component is active.
- The visitor is on a single group’s page. On any other page, the widget outputs nothing.
- The visitor is a site administrator, or a member, moderator, or organizer of that group.
What it shows
Section titled “What it shows”- Group avatar, name, a private or hidden group icon, and how old the group is.
- Quick stats: Members, 7-day Activity, and Engagement (recent activity as a share of the member count).
- Activity Trend - a mini chart of the group’s activity over the last 7 days.
- Member Growth - new members this month.
- Top Contributors - the group’s most active members.
- View Full Report - a link to the group’s Statistics tab, shown when the group Statistics tab is on and at least one group chart is selected.
Settings

Where to put it
Section titled “Where to put it”Place it in a sidebar that shows on group pages. It detects the current group on its own; there’s no group picker.
BP Stats - Groups Overview
Section titled “BP Stats - Groups Overview”Shows totals for all community groups. Listed in Appearance > Widgets as BP Stats - Groups Overview (“Display overall group statistics and most active groups”). Needs the Groups component.
What it shows
Section titled “What it shows”- Total Groups, Active Groups (groups with activity in the last 30 days), Total Members, and Avg Members per group.
- Most Active Groups - groups ranked by activity in the last 30 days, with activity counts.
- Recent Activity - a count of each type of group activity in the last 7 days.
- View All Groups - a link to the groups directory.

Section titled “Where to put it”- Main site sidebar - shows visitors how lively your groups are.
- Groups directory sidebar - gives visitors context on which groups are active.
WordPress Dashboard widget: BuddyPress Summary

When it shows
Section titled “When it shows”The widget is added only when BuddyPress (or BuddyBoss Platform) is active with both the Activity and Groups components turned on. Otherwise the Dashboard shows as normal without it.
What it shows
Section titled “What it shows”- Three time frame buttons: Today, Week to Date, and Month to Date.
- For the chosen time frame: Registrations, Activities, and Groups.
Moving or hiding it
Section titled “Moving or hiding it”Like any Dashboard box, you can drag it to another position or hide it from Screen Options at the top of the Dashboard.
Theming
Section titled “Theming”All three widgets follow your theme’s colors, including dark mode on BuddyX and Reign.
What changed in 2.0.1
Section titled “What changed in 2.0.1”- The Group Analytics widget’s Activity Trend chart now shows the last 7 days, matching the 7-day Activity number beside it.
- Widget styling follows BuddyX 5.1 and Reign color settings, including dark mode.
What changed in 2.0.0
Section titled “What changed in 2.0.0”- Widget data is cached, so a widget shown on many pages doesn’t slow your site down.
- The BuddyPress Summary Dashboard widget is easier to use with a keyboard and screen reader.
