Activity Log
The Activity Log tab is the complete, searchable record of every action the plugin has captured. Access it at WB Plugins > BP Statistics > Activity Log.
Activity Log is one of the six main tabs, alongside Overview, Analytics, Users, Settings, and License.
Card: Activity log filters
Section titled “Card: Activity log filters”A toolbar at the top of the page narrows the table.

| Date from | Lower bound of the time range. |
| Date to | Upper bound. Leave empty for “up to now”. |
| User | Free-text search. Matches a member’s display name or username, and also action, context, topic, and IP address text. |
| Apply | Reloads the table with the filter applied. |
| Reset | Clears every filter and reloads the full table. |
Topic chips
Section titled “Topic chips”A row of buttons under the filter toolbar (Filter by topic) narrows the log by topic in one click. The first one, All (N), clears the topic filter. The others are built from the topics that actually appear in your log, each with its own count.
The active topic stays highlighted. An “Active filters:” line above the table shows what’s narrowing the results.
Card: Activity log table
Section titled “Card: Activity log table”The table loads one page of entries at a time from the server, so it stays responsive even on very large logs.
Header
Section titled “Header”The card header describes what the table covers: “Every recorded BuddyPress action - activities, joins, logins, messages, reactions.”
Columns
Section titled “Columns”| Column | What it shows |

| Date | When the action was recorded, in the site’s timezone. |
| User | Display name + login. |
| Topic | High-level category (for example groups, activity, friends). |
| Action | The specific action (for example joining a group or posting an update). |
| Context | Human-readable summary of what happened. |
| IP Address | Stored IP address, anonymized when IP anonymization is on in Settings > Display. |
| Meta | Any extra structured data captured for the row. |
Search and sort
Section titled “Search and sort”Click the ID, Date, User, Topic, or Action column header to sort. Type in the Search all columns box to find entries by action, context, IP address, topic, or member name.
Pagination
Section titled “Pagination”Choose 10, 25, 50, 100, or All entries per page (25 by default). The footer shows total and filtered counts (“Showing 1 to 25 of 201 entries”). Choosing All on a very large log can be slow.
Exports
Section titled “Exports”The toolbar above the table provides four buttons:
- Export CSV - downloads the rows in the table as a comma-separated file.
- Export Excel - same data, Excel format.
- Print - opens a print-friendly view.
- Refresh - reloads the page.
Exports include the rows currently loaded in the table, with your filters applied. To export more than one page, choose a larger entries-per-page value (or All) first.
What gets logged
Section titled “What gets logged”The plugin records BuddyPress actions, including:
- Activity updates and comments
- Group joins, leaves, creates
- Friend requests and acceptances
- Profile updates
- Logins
- Private messages
- Favorites, likes, and reactions
- Reshares (when BuddyPress Activity Share Pro is installed)
If a BuddyPress component is turned off, its actions stop appearing in new entries. Existing entries are kept.
Retention
Section titled “Retention”Entries older than the Activity log retention setting (Settings > Display) are removed by the daily cleanup job. The default is 90 days. To empty the log, or to rebuild it from existing BuddyPress data, see Settings > Maintenance.
