Settings - General
The General view is the first sub-tab under Settings. Access it at WB Plugins > BP Statistics > Settings > General.
This view controls the on/off switches for the public-facing parts of the plugin: whether the Statistics tab appears on member profiles, whether it appears on group pages, and which charts show inside each tab.
Where this sits
Section titled “Where this sits”The Settings tab has three sub-tabs:
- General - this view (tab switches + which charts show)
- Display - who sees the tabs (user roles, group roles, group privacy) + data retention + IP anonymization
- Maintenance - reset the activity log + run full historical indexing
Card: Member Profile Statistics

Profile Statistics tab

Show a Statistics tab on every member profile
When this is off, the Statistics tab is hidden for everyone, including site administrators. When it’s on, the tab appears for logged-in members whose role is ticked on the Display sub-tab. Members see the tab on their own profile; administrators can see it on any profile.
Charts shown on profiles
Section titled “Charts shown on profiles”Four checkboxes choose which charts appear inside the member’s Statistics tab:

The top of the tab (Your impact, the day streak, and Your journey) always shows when the tab is on. If you untick all four charts, the Statistics tab stays on member profiles and shows only those sections. The screen reminds you: “With no charts selected, the tab still shows impact, streak, and journey.”

Group Statistics tab

Show a Statistics tab on every group
When this is off, the Statistics tab is hidden on every group. The group role and group privacy options on the Display sub-tab control who sees an enabled tab; this checkbox controls whether it exists at all.
Charts shown on groups
Section titled “Charts shown on groups”Four checkboxes for the charts on a group’s Statistics tab:

Select at least one group chart. While none are selected, the Statistics tab is hidden on groups. The screen shows the same reminder under the checkboxes.
Saving
Section titled “Saving”Click Save changes at the bottom of the page. Saving General never changes the options on the Display sub-tab, and saving Display never changes the options here.
What changed in 2.0.1
Section titled “What changed in 2.0.1”- The member profile Statistics tab no longer disappears when no profile chart is selected. It shows the impact, streak, and journey sections instead.
- The screen now explains what happens when no charts are selected, for both profiles and groups.
- The settings screens work on phones. In 2.0.0 they could appear blank on small screens.
What changed in 2.0.0
Section titled “What changed in 2.0.0”If you’re coming from 1.8.x:
- The old “General Settings” page was split: the what to show switches stayed here on General; the who can see it, retention, and IP anonymization options moved to the Display sub-tab.
- The profile and group chart checkboxes are the same options as before, with friendlier labels (for example “Engagement (likes / reactions)” instead of “Engagement Report”).
- Bookmarks to the old General Settings page open this view.
