Open WP Stories (under the WB Plugins menu) and select the General tab to configure core story behavior.

Choose how stories appear on the front end. Three layouts are available:

  • Square - Stories are displayed in square thumbnails.
  • List - Stories appear in a vertical list layout.
  • Instagram - Stories are shown as circles in a horizontal row, similar to Instagram Stories. The member’s own Your story circle comes first with a + badge for posting. Circle size and colours are set on the Styling Options tab.

Toggle this on to show previous and next arrow buttons when viewing stories on larger screens. On phones members tap the sides of the screen instead. This helps users browse between story items without relying solely on tap/click gestures.

Enable a 3D cube animation when transitioning between stories. When turned off, stories transition with a standard slide effect.

Controls the animation that plays when a user opens a story from the feed. Toggle on for an animated opening effect, or leave off for an instant open.

When enabled, stories a member has already watched move to the end of the stories row, so new stories come first. When disabled, watched stories stay where they are and only their ring turns grey. The member’s own Your story circle always stays first.

When enabled, stories are completely hidden from visitors who are not logged in. Only authenticated users can view the story feed. If a logged-out visitor lands on a page with the story shortcode, nothing is rendered.
