BuddyBoss Platform Integration

WP Stories works with BuddyBoss Platform through its BuddyPress integration, since BuddyBoss Platform is built on BuddyPress.

Requirements

• BuddyBoss Platform active

Enabling the Integration

1. Open WP Stories (WB Plugins menu) and select the Integrations tab.
2. Under the BuddyPress section, toggle BuddyPress Integration on.
3. Click Save Settings.

Since BuddyBoss Platform extends BuddyPress, the integration settings appear under the BuddyPress heading.

Stories in News Feeds

Once enabled, stories appear at the top of the BuddyBoss activity feed (news feed). Members see story circles that they can click to view in a fullscreen overlay. The stories automatically adapt to the display style you selected on the General tab.

Member Profile Integration

Members get a Stories tab on their BuddyBoss profiles. From their profile, users can:

• Watch their own published stories
• Delete a photo or video from a story
• See who viewed each story

Members post new stories from the news feed’s Your story circle. The profile tab appears when Show Story Viewers is on.

BuddyBoss Theme Compatibility

WP Stories is styled to work with the BuddyBoss Theme. The story circles, submission form, and viewer overlay inherit appropriate spacing and typography from the theme. If you are using a custom BuddyBoss child theme, stories should integrate without additional CSS adjustments in most cases.

Story Collections

When Enable Story Collections is turned on in the integration settings, members can group stories into collections with a cover and a name, similar to Instagram Highlights. Each collection shows as its own circle. This works the same way as with BuddyPress.

Friends-Only Visibility

If the BuddyBoss friends feature is enabled, members can choose Friends only when posting, so only the people on their friends list see what they share.
