Introduction

PeepSo wpForo Integration brings your wpForo forums into a PeepSo community. wpForo keeps owning the forums. This plugin shows them inside PeepSo profiles and groups, and connects forum posts to the PeepSo activity stream and notification bell.

With PeepSo and wpForo active, it does four things:

1. Adds a Forums tab to every member profile. The tab shows wpForo’s own member pages, drawn with your active wpForo theme: the member’s posts, their favorites, their subscriptions (own profile only) and their forum profile.
2. Gives PeepSo groups their own forum. With PeepSo Groups active, a group can have a Forum tab. Group privacy decides who can read and who can post.
3. Posts new topics and replies to the activity stream. Each topic or reply posts once, only when readers are allowed to see it. Forum posts from a group forum go to that group’s stream.
4. Sends PeepSo notifications. Topic authors hear about replies, and forum and topic subscribers hear about new topics and replies.

Member names and avatars in the forums can also point to PeepSo profiles and use PeepSo avatars.

Stream posts and notifications are separate. Turning one off does not turn the other off.

• The PeepSo box on wpForo’s forum add and edit screen - per-forum stream switches and the forum’s group.

Who this plugin is for

Site owners who run a PeepSo community with wpForo and want the forums to feel like part of that community: forum activity on profiles and in groups, forum posts in the member feed, and forum replies in the same notification bell members already use.
