Installation

Before you begin

Install and activate PeepSo and wpForo. For group forums, also activate PeepSo Groups.

Install the plugin

1. Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin and upload the plugin zip, or upload the peepso-wpforo folder to /wp-content/plugins/.
2. Activate PeepSo wpForo Integration on the Plugins screen.

If PeepSo or wpForo is missing, you see a notice and the plugin waits. It does not deactivate itself.

What is on after activation

Every setting starts switched on, so the plugin works right away:

• The profile Forums tab with all four views: Posts, Favorites, Subscriptions and Forum profile.
• Link members to their PeepSo profile and Use PeepSo avatars in the forums.
• Group forums (when PeepSo Groups is active).
• Notifications for new topics and new replies.
• Stream posts for new topics and new replies, with members sharing by default.

Change any of these under PeepSo > Configuration > wpForo. See Usage > Admin Settings.

Where to find things

• PeepSo > Configuration > wpForo - all settings.
• WB Plugins > PeepSo wpForo - Overview, Settings (a link to the PeepSo screen above), Support and License.
• The Settings link on the plugin’s row on the Plugins screen opens the PeepSo Configuration screen.

Updating from 2.0

Your settings, members’ choices, per-forum switches and license key are kept. What changes for your members:

• The Forums tab now shows wpForo’s own member pages: Posts, Favorites, Subscriptions and Forum profile. The old Topic view is folded into Posts (use its Topics filter), and old forums/topic links open Posts.
• The separate Board profile tab is gone. On multi-board sites, a board switcher appears inside each view instead.
• The member preference is now a plain “share” switch. A member who opted out in 2.0 stays opted out.
• Stream posts made by 2.0 still show in the stream.

If you customised the plugin’s templates or used its hooks, read Developer Guide > Hooks and Filters. Several 2.0 templates and hooks were removed.
