Installation
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”Install and activate both PeepSo and wpForo first. If either is missing when you activate this addon, the addon deactivates itself and shows a notice.
Install the addon
Section titled “Install the addon”- Upload the plugin files to
/wp-content/plugins/peepso-wpforo, or install the zip through Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. - Activate PeepSo wpForo Integration through the Plugins screen.
On activation, the addon flags its default settings for seeding. The defaults are
applied on the next PeepSo boot (peepso_init), not during the activation
request itself, because PeepSo registers its class autoloader too late in the
activation request to seed safely. The seed runs once and then clears its flag.
What the defaults enable
Section titled “What the defaults enable”After the first seed, these are turned on for you:
- All four Forums sub-tabs (Profile, Topic, Activity, Subscriptions).
- Change wpForo user link to PeepSo profile link.
- “Topic created” activity and “reply created” activity.
- New-topic and new-reply notifications.
You can change any of these later under PeepSo > Configuration > PeepSo wpForo Addon.
After activation
Section titled “After activation”When you activate the addon from the Plugins screen, WordPress redirects you to the addon’s WB Plugins > PeepSo wpForo welcome page. Note that this welcome page holds only Welcome, FAQ and License; the working settings live under PeepSo > Configuration > PeepSo wpForo Addon (see Usage > Admin Settings).
A Settings link is also added to the addon’s row on the Plugins screen; it points to the PeepSo Configuration tab.
