Forums tab on member profiles

Each PeepSo profile gets a Forums tab (you can rename it). Inside, wpForo’s own member pages are shown with your active wpForo theme, so they look like the rest of your forums and follow wpForo updates.

• Turn each view on or off and rename it.
• Long lists are paged.
• On sites with more than one board, wpForo’s board switcher appears inside each view.
• wpForo’s own permissions still apply. If a usergroup cannot view a member page, the view shows wpForo’s “You do not have permission to view this page” message.

Member links and avatars

• Link members to their PeepSo profile - member names and profile links in the forums open the member’s PeepSo profile Forums tab instead of the wpForo profile page. Links to a member’s posts, favorites or subscriptions open the matching view.
• Use PeepSo avatars in the forums - forum pages show each member’s PeepSo avatar.

Group forums

Needs PeepSo Groups.

• Group owners and managers click Create forum in the group’s Settings. The forum is added to a Groups category on the main board, or to a category you choose.
• Site admins can link any forum to a group from the PeepSo box on wpForo’s forum screen.
• The group gets a Forum tab showing the wpForo forum page with its topic list and new-topic form.
• Group privacy decides access. An open group’s forum is public, and only members can post. A closed or secret group’s forum is hidden from non-members everywhere in wpForo.

Activity stream

New topics and replies can post to the PeepSo stream, for example “Maya Chen started Weekend ride plans in Portland Makers.” followed by a short excerpt.

• Only approved content posts. Posts held for moderation post when approved.
• Private topics and forums guests cannot read never post publicly.
• Content from a group forum posts to that group’s stream.
• Each topic or reply posts once.
• Switch it off for the whole site, per forum, or per member.

Notifications

PeepSo notifications, alongside wpForo’s own emails:

• New topic - to members subscribed to the forum.
• New reply - to the topic author and members subscribed to the topic or its forum.

Nobody is notified about their own posts, or about forums they cannot read. Notifications are separate from stream posts.

Admin

• PeepSo > Configuration > wpForo - all settings, in four groups: Profile tab, Group forums, Notifications and Forum activity.
• WB Plugins > PeepSo wpForo - Overview, Settings link, Support (FAQ) and License.
• Automatic updates through the Wbcom Designs store with a license key. No feature needs a key.
