Forum tabs on the PeepSo profile

The addon adds a Forums tab to each PeepSo member profile. Inside it are up to four sub-tabs, each of which can be enabled or disabled and relabelled by the site owner:

• Profile - the member’s wpForo profile dashboard.
• Topic - the member’s topics, with a board switcher when multiple boards exist.
• Activity - the member’s forum activity feed, paginated.
• Subscriptions - the forums and topics the member follows.

When more than one wpForo board is active, a separate Board tab appears that lists the extra boards (the default board, id 0, is intentionally omitted).

Visibility rule: on someone else’s profile, only Profile and Activity are shown. Topic and Subscriptions appear only on the profile owner’s own profile, even for administrators viewing another member.

Activity stream integration

When a member creates a forum topic or reply, the addon can publish a PeepSo activity entry that names the topic, the forum, and the author, and links back to the forum. Activity content is cleaned before display: Gutenberg block comment markup is stripped, GIPHY shortcodes are removed (when wpForo GIPHY is active), and forum attachment links are normalised.

Cross-posting is handled safely: one article cross-posted to several boards produces a single activity, not one per board, and the addon prevents the loop where creating an activity would itself trigger another cross-post.

Notifications

The addon sends native PeepSo notifications for forum events:

• Reply to your topic - the topic author is notified.
• Reply to a subscribed topic - topic and forum subscribers are notified.
• New topic in a subscribed forum - forum subscribers are notified.

Notification links resolve to the forum topic or reply even when the activity stream post is turned off. Reply notifications reach subscribers on secondary boards, not just the default board.

Members get matching entries in their PeepSo profile notification-alert preferences under a Forum group.

Profile link rewriting

Optionally, wpForo author and member profile links can be rewritten to point at the member’s PeepSo profile instead of the wpForo profile. This applies both on wpForo pages and on the single-post view of any wpForo theme.

Per-member and per-forum controls

• Per member: each member can opt out of creating their own topic and reply activities from their PeepSo profile Preferences.
• Per forum: the site owner can disable topic activity and reply activity for an individual forum from the wpForo forum edit form.

Admin experience

• A card-panel admin page under WB Plugins > PeepSo wpForo with Welcome, FAQ and License tabs.
• A settings tab under PeepSo > Configuration > PeepSo wpForo Addon for all functional toggles.
• A modern Easy Digital Downloads Software Licensing client (activate, deactivate, cached status) for updates.
