What do I need?
Section titled “What do I need?”WordPress 6.2 or newer, PHP 8.1 or newer, PeepSo and wpForo. Group forums also need PeepSo Groups.
What happens if PeepSo or wpForo is turned off?
Section titled “What happens if PeepSo or wpForo is turned off?”Administrators see “PeepSo wpForo Integration needs PeepSo and wpForo to be active.” The plugin stays active and starts working again once both are back.
Where are the settings?
Section titled “Where are the settings?”Under PeepSo > Configuration > wpForo. The WB Plugins > PeepSo wpForo page has an Overview, a Settings link to that screen, Support and License.
What do members see on their profile?
Section titled “What do members see on their profile?”A Forums tab with wpForo’s own member pages: Posts (with Topics and Replies filters), Favorites, Forum profile and, on their own profile, Subscriptions. You choose the views and their labels in the settings.
Why can’t I see Subscriptions on another member’s profile?
Section titled “Why can’t I see Subscriptions on another member’s profile?”Subscriptions are private. They show only to the member on their own profile, even for administrators.
Where did the Topic view and the Board tab go?
Section titled “Where did the Topic view and the Board tab go?”Version 2.1.0 replaced them. A member’s topics are in Posts, using its
Topics filter. Old forums/topic links open Posts. On sites with more than one
board, a board switcher now appears inside each view instead of a separate Board
tab.
How do I give a group its own forum?
Section titled “How do I give a group its own forum?”Open the group, go to Settings and click Create forum. Site admins can also link any forum to a group from the PeepSo box on the forum’s screen in wpForo. See Usage > Group Forums.
Who can read and post in a group forum?
Section titled “Who can read and post in a group forum?”The group decides. An open group’s forum is public, and only members can post. A closed or secret group’s forum is hidden from everyone outside the group on every wpForo page, including forum lists, recent posts and search.
I turned stream posts off, but members still get notifications. Is that broken?
Section titled “I turned stream posts off, but members still get notifications. Is that broken?”No. Stream posts and notifications are separate, each with its own switch.
Can members keep their forum posts out of the stream?
Section titled “Can members keep their forum posts out of the stream?”Yes. Under Profile > Preferences > Forums, members can switch off Share topics I start in the activity stream and Share my forum replies in the activity stream. Members who opted out in 2.0 stay opted out.
Can I stop stream posts for one forum?
Section titled “Can I stop stream posts for one forum?”Yes. Edit the forum in wpForo and tick the boxes in the PeepSo box.
Why did a topic not post to the stream?
Section titled “Why did a topic not post to the stream?”Private topics, posts waiting for approval and forums guests cannot read never post publicly. See Troubleshooting for the full list.
Do I need a license key?
Section titled “Do I need a license key?”Only for automatic updates. Every feature works without one.
How do I change the look?
Section titled “How do I change the look?”The tabs use your wpForo theme. To change the markup around it, copy a file from
the plugin’s templates/wpforo/ folder to yourtheme/peepso/wpforo/.
