Installation
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”Before you install BuddyPress Quotes, make sure your site meets these requirements:
- WordPress 5.0 or higher
- PHP 7.4 or higher
- BuddyPress (any current release) or BuddyBoss Platform must be installed and active
The plugin will not activate if BuddyPress or BuddyBoss Platform is not detected.
Install via WordPress Admin
Section titled “Install via WordPress Admin”- Log in to your WordPress admin and go to Plugins - Add New.
- Click Upload Plugin.
- Choose the
buddypress-quote.zipfile you downloaded from Wbcom Designs. - Click Install Now, then click Activate Plugin.
Install via FTP
Section titled “Install via FTP”- Unzip
buddypress-quote.zipon your computer. - Upload the
buddypress-quotefolder to/wp-content/plugins/. - In WordPress admin go to Plugins - Installed Plugins.
- Find BuddyPress Quotes and click Activate.
Activate Your License
Section titled “Activate Your License”After activation you need to enter your license key so the plugin receives automatic updates.
- Go to WP Admin - BuddyPress Quotes - License.
- Paste your license key into the License Key field.
- Click Activate License.
A green status badge confirms the license is active. Without an active license the plugin still works, but you will not receive automatic updates.
Where Settings Live
Section titled “Where Settings Live”All plugin settings are under WP Admin - BuddyPress Quotes. The admin menu contains these tabs:

Verify Installation
Section titled “Verify Installation”Go to any member’s activity feed in your community and look for the quote icon in the activity composer toolbar. If you see it, the plugin is working correctly.
