Requirements
BuddyLists is a licensed add-on for BuddyPress and BuddyBoss communities. It needs one of those platforms active before its features run.
Environment

When the platform is missing
Section titled “When the platform is missing”If neither BuddyPress nor BuddyBoss Platform is active, BuddyLists shows a notice on admin screens saying it needs one of them. Its features stay switched off until the platform is back, and nothing is lost. The plugin stays active, so it resumes by itself.
On activation, if neither platform is active, BuddyLists deactivates itself and shows the same notice.
Optional integrations
Section titled “Optional integrations”These are not required. BuddyLists adds behaviour when they are present:
- A follow plugin (BuddyPress Follow, or the BuddyBoss follow feature) adds a Follow button beside members on a list.
- The BuddyPress Messages component enables the Message link on each member row.
- The BuddyPress Friends component enables the “The owner and their friends” choice for who can add people, and friend-based suggestions.
- The BuddyPress Notifications component delivers the on-site notices for being added to or removed from a list.
- Activity add-ons such as Polls, Reactions, Activity Share Pro and Moderation Pro have their assets loaded on list pages.
Licensing
Section titled “Licensing”BuddyLists uses an Easy Digital Downloads license key for updates. Enter it on the License tab under WB Plugins > BuddyLists. The license controls updates and support only. Every feature keeps working whether or not the license is active.
