Requirements
BuddyLists is a premium (licensed) add-on for BuddyPress and BuddyBoss communities. It needs one of those community platforms active before it will run.

Dependency behaviour
Section titled “Dependency behaviour”If neither BuddyPress nor BuddyBoss Platform is active, BuddyLists deactivates itself and shows an admin notice explaining that a community platform is required. This check runs both on activation and on every admin page load, so the plugin never fatals when the dependency is missing.
Optional integrations
Section titled “Optional integrations”These are not required, but BuddyLists adds extra behaviour when they are present:
- A BP-Follower style follow plugin adds follow buttons beside members on public lists.
- BuddyPress messaging enables the group message feature on list pages.
- BuddyPress activity add-ons such as Polls, Reactions and Activity Share Pro have their assets loaded correctly on BuddyLists list pages.
Licensing
Section titled “Licensing”BuddyLists uses an Easy Digital Downloads license key for updates. Enter your key on the plugin license screen to receive automatic updates.
