Installation

Install the plugin

1. Confirm BuddyPress or BuddyBoss Platform is installed and active.
2. Upload the buddylists folder to /wp-content/plugins/, or install the plugin ZIP from Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
3. Activate BuddyLists from the Plugins screen.

On activation BuddyLists creates its database tables and registers the list page address. On single-site installs you are taken to the BuddyLists settings screen after activation.

Add your license key

1. Go to WB Plugins > BuddyLists.
2. Open the License tab.
3. Enter the key from your purchase receipt.

The license is for updates and support. The plugin works without it.

Find the settings

BuddyLists settings live under the WB Plugins menu in the WordPress admin, at WB Plugins > BuddyLists (admin.php?page=buddylists). A sidebar on the left lists the screens:

• Overview: totals and a summary of your current configuration.
• General: the tab name, web address, who can create lists and the limits.
• Visibility: who can add people, who gets suggested, public or private, and list activity.
• Notifications: on-site and email notices.
• Colors: optional colors for list pages.

• FAQ

Verify it works

1. Visit a member profile on the front end.
2. Confirm a Lists tab appears. Its label matches the What to call them setting.
3. Open your own profile, go to the Lists tab and choose Add Lists.
4. Type a name and choose Create list. You are taken to the new list’s page.
5. Check that the list opens at its web address. If the address shows a missing page, go to Settings > Permalinks and choose Save Changes once.
