Installation
Install the plugin
Section titled “Install the plugin”- Confirm BuddyPress or BuddyBoss Platform is installed and active.
- Upload the
buddylistsfolder to/wp-content/plugins/, or install the plugin ZIP from Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. - Activate BuddyLists from the Plugins screen.
On activation BuddyLists creates its database tables, registers the public list rewrite rules, and flushes rewrite rules so public list URLs work immediately. On single-site installs you are redirected to the BuddyLists settings screen after activation.
Add your license key
Section titled “Add your license key”Open the BuddyLists license screen and enter the key from your purchase to enable automatic updates.
Find the settings
Section titled “Find the settings”BuddyLists settings live under the WB Plugins menu in the WordPress admin, on the Buddylists page (admin.php?page=buddylists). Settings are organised into tabs: Welcome, General, Visibility, Activity Management, Notifications, Color Settings and FAQ. The Activity Management tab appears only when a follow plugin is active or list activity is relevant to the site.
Verify it works
Section titled “Verify it works”- Visit a member profile on the front end.
- Confirm a Lists tab appears (its label matches the “Lists Label” setting).
- Open your own profile, go to the Lists tab, and create a test list.
- Open the list at its public URL to confirm rewrite rules are working. If the URL returns a 404, go to Settings > Permalinks and save once to flush rewrite rules.
