Settings Reference

All settings live under WB Plugins on the shared Wbcom settings page. The navigation groups the tabs as Store (General, Player), Protection (Watermark), Delivery (Advanced), and Account (License).

General

Section titled “General”
  • Enable Audio Preview: master on/off for the store. Default on.
  • Product Page Position: where the player appears on the product page. Options: before the Add to Cart form (default), before the Add to Cart button, after the Add to Cart button, before the product summary, in the product summary, or with the product images.
  • Show on Shop Pages: show the preview badge on shop and category archives. Default off.
  • Player Theme: default theme for new products (Classic, Dark, Minimal, Colorful).
  • Preview Duration: global preview length in seconds. 0 is unlimited.
  • Player Title: heading text shown above the player.
  • Vendor Settings (shown only when a supported marketplace is active): Allow Vendor Management, and Vendor Upload Limit (0 is unlimited).
  • Security: Prevent Downloads (default on), Disable Right-Click (default off), Require Login (default off).

Player

Section titled “Player”
  • Show Waveform: draw a WaveSurfer waveform instead of the progress bar. Default off.
  • Show Time Display: show current time and total length. Default on.
  • Volume Control: show the volume slider and mute toggle. Default on.
  • Default Volume: starting volume, 0 to 100.
  • Player Width: a CSS value such as 100% or 500px.
  • Auto-play: start on load (muted). Default off.
  • Loop Playback: restart when the track ends. Default off.

Watermark

Section titled “Watermark”
  • Enable Watermarking: turn the audible overlay on. Default off.
  • Watermark Type: Beep (bundled, default) or Custom audio file.
  • Custom Watermark File: URL of your own clip, used only when the type is Custom.
  • Watermark Interval: how often the mark plays, in seconds (5 to 60).
  • Watermark Volume: 10 to 100 percent.
  • Fade Main Audio: lower the preview while the mark plays. Default on.

Advanced

Section titled “Advanced”
  • Enable CDN Support: allow the CDN host rewrite for local files. Default off.
  • Trusted Domains: CDN hosts, one per line.
  • Preload Strategy: none (load when played), metadata only, or full file.
  • Lazy Loading: load a preview only when scrolled into view. Takes precedence over Preload Strategy. Default off.

License

Section titled “License”

Activate or deactivate the plugin’s Easy Digital Downloads license. This tab shows only this product’s license.

How settings resolve

Section titled “How settings resolve”

Every setting has a single declared default and is read through one resolver, so the settings screen and the player always agree on what a setting means. Two former Player-tab controls (Preload Strategy and Lazy Loading) now live on the Advanced tab; values saved under the old location are still read until you save the Advanced tab.
