What does BuddyWoo add to member profiles?
Section titled “What does BuddyWoo add to member profiles?”A Shop tab on the member’s own profile with their account data: Products (the catalog), Orders, Order Tracking, Downloads, Addresses, and My Reviews. Each surface shows only that member’s own data.
Does BuddyWoo put the cart or checkout on the profile?
Section titled “Does BuddyWoo put the cart or checkout on the profile?”No. Purchasing always happens on the WooCommerce cart and checkout pages. Profile Cart and Checkout tabs existed in older versions and were removed in 1.5.0; old profile cart and checkout links now redirect to the store pages.
Does BuddyWoo replace the WooCommerce My Account page?
Section titled “Does BuddyWoo replace the WooCommerce My Account page?”No. It mirrors account data onto the profile, and the My Account page keeps working. Address editing still happens on the My Account edit-address screen.
Do I need both WooCommerce and BuddyPress?
Section titled “Do I need both WooCommerce and BuddyPress?”Yes. BuddyWoo is a bridge and needs both WooCommerce and BuddyPress (or BuddyBoss Platform) active. If either is missing it deactivates itself and shows a notice naming the missing plugin.
Does it work with BuddyBoss?
Section titled “Does it work with BuddyBoss?”Yes. Both BuddyPress and BuddyBoss Platform are supported. Under BuddyBoss, BuddyWoo lets the platform draw its own panel headings.
Can I rename tabs or change their URLs?
Section titled “Can I rename tabs or change their URLs?”Yes, under WB Plugins > BuddyWoo > Labels & Slugs. You can change each tab’s label, URL slug, and position. Blank fields fall back to the defaults.
Can I show a Shop surface on a normal page?
Section titled “Can I show a Shop surface on a normal page?”Yes. Use the [buddywoo_account tab="..."] shortcode or the BuddyWoo Account block. Personal surfaces require the visitor to be logged in.
Can members hide their Shop tab?
Section titled “Can members hide their Shop tab?”Yes. A member can check Disable Shop Menu under their BuddyPress account Settings > General. It affects only that member.
Is HPOS supported?
Section titled “Is HPOS supported?”Yes. BuddyWoo declares compatibility with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage and reads order data through WooCommerce’s own APIs.
Can themes restyle the Shop surfaces?
Section titled “Can themes restyle the Shop surfaces?”Yes. Copy any file from the plugin’s templates/ directory to {your-theme}/buddywoo/ and edit it there. Overrides survive plugin updates.
Does the plugin add database tables?
Section titled “Does the plugin add database tables?”No. It adds no custom tables, post types, taxonomies, or cron. It stores only a few option rows plus small pieces of metadata on reviews and activity items.
