The BuddyPress Check-ins plugin allows BuddyPress members to check in to locations when posting activity updates. Similar to other social networking platforms, users can add places they’ve visited.
Once the BuddyPress Check-ins plugin is successfully configured, a “Check-ins” icon will appear next to the activity update input form. When a user clicks this icon, the plugin will display a list of nearby places based on the user’s IP address that are available for check-in.
