“Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page” or the plugin will not stay active

The plugin deactivates itself on load unless both BuddyPress (or BuddyBoss) and IdeaPush are active. Activate both required plugins, then activate this one again. See Requirements.

The Idea tab does not show on profiles

• Confirm Enable Idea tab is on in General Settings.
• Flush permalinks by visiting Settings > Permalinks and saving, so the tab slug resolves.
• Confirm the member actually has published ideas; the tab shows only published idea posts.

Ideas are not appearing in the activity stream

• Confirm Post ideas to activity is on in Activity Stream.
• Confirm the BuddyPress Activity component is enabled under Settings > BuddyPress > Components.
• Only ideas that transition to the published status are posted. Ideas that were already published before this option was turned on are not back-filled.
• Under BuddyBoss, this plugin does not post activity by design; BuddyBoss posts it instead.

The Activity Stream settings tab is missing

This is expected when BuddyBoss Platform is active. BuddyBoss manages activity posting, so the tab and the activity-posting options are hidden.

Comment counts on the Idea tab show zero

Comment counts are read from an idea’s BuddyPress activity comments. If the Activity component is turned off, the count shows zero. Turn the Activity component on if you want accurate counts.

Activity replies do not post

The inline reply box posts through a logged-in AJAX action protected by a nonce. Make sure the member is logged in and that the page reloaded cleanly after the last settings change so the current nonce is present.

Idea styling looks off on my theme

The front-end styles load only on member pages, the activity directory and single idea pages. The plugin ships tested styling for BuddyX and Youzify. On other themes, minor spacing differences can occur; adjust with your theme’s custom CSS.
