Installation

Before you start

Install and activate both required plugins first: BuddyPress (or BuddyBoss Platform) and IdeaPush. IdeaPush is free on wordpress.org. If either is missing when you activate this plugin, it will deactivate itself and tell you what is needed.

Install the plugin

1. Upload the plugin folder to wp-content/plugins/, or install the zip from Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
2. Activate Wbcom Designs - BuddyPress Ideapush Integration from the Plugins screen.
3. On successful activation the plugin sends you to its settings screen.

Where to find the settings

The plugin adds a submenu under the shared WB Plugins menu in wp-admin, titled Ideapush Integration. The settings screen has these tabs:

• Overview - a summary of your current configuration and whether BuddyPress and IdeaPush are detected.
• General Settings - the Idea profile tab options.
• Activity Stream - activity-posting options (hidden under BuddyBoss).
• Support - FAQ, documentation and support links.
• License - license key status for updates.

First configuration

Nothing is shown to members until you enable it:

1. Open General Settings and turn on Enable Idea tab to add the Idea tab to member profiles.
2. Open Activity Stream and turn on Post ideas to activity if you want published ideas announced in the activity feed.
