What BuddyPress Ideapush Integration Does

BuddyPress Ideapush Integration connects the IdeaPush idea board to a BuddyPress community. Once both plugins are active, members can find and manage the ideas they submitted from inside their own BuddyPress profile, and new ideas can be announced in the community activity stream.

The plugin is a free add-on published by Wbcom Designs. It has no board of its own and no idea-submission form; it reads the ideas that IdeaPush already stores (the idea post type) and surfaces them inside BuddyPress.

The three things it adds

1. An Idea tab on member profiles. Each member profile gains a tab (labelled “Idea” by default) that lists the ideas that member has published, with the featured image, vote count, status, comment count and a trimmed description. The tab label, URL slug and layout are configurable.

2. Ideas in the activity stream. When a member publishes an idea, the plugin can post it to the BuddyPress activity stream with a configurable action line and, optionally, the idea title as a link.

3. BuddyPress activity comments on ideas. Optionally, the plugin replaces the native WordPress comment form on a single idea with a BuddyPress activity comment thread and reply box.

What it needs

Both BuddyPress and IdeaPush must be installed and active. If either is missing the plugin deactivates itself on load. See Requirements and Installation.

BuddyBoss Platform is supported in place of BuddyPress; under BuddyBoss the activity-posting features are handed off to BuddyBoss and hidden here. Youzify is also supported for activity display.
