What does this plugin require?
Section titled “What does this plugin require?”BuddyPress (or BuddyBoss Platform) and the IdeaPush plugin, both active. It bridges IdeaPush ideas into BuddyPress profiles and the activity stream. If either plugin is missing, this plugin deactivates itself.
Does it work with BuddyBoss Platform?
Section titled “Does it work with BuddyBoss Platform?”Yes. BuddyBoss Platform works in place of BuddyPress. Because BuddyBoss handles activity posting from its own settings, this plugin’s activity posting and its Activity Stream settings tab are hidden when BuddyBoss is active.
Where do members see their ideas?
Section titled “Where do members see their ideas?”When the Idea tab is enabled in General Settings, each member profile gains an Idea tab. You can rename its label, change its URL slug and show ideas in a two-column layout.
How do ideas appear in the activity stream?
Section titled “How do ideas appear in the activity stream?”Enable Post ideas to activity on the Activity Stream tab. New ideas then post to the stream with your custom action text, optionally with the idea title appended as a link.
Does it create ideas or an idea board?
Section titled “Does it create ideas or an idea board?”No. IdeaPush owns idea submission, voting and status. This plugin only reads those ideas and displays them inside BuddyPress. Members still submit and vote through IdeaPush.
Can I move idea discussion into BuddyPress?
Section titled “Can I move idea discussion into BuddyPress?”Yes. Turn on BuddyPress comments on the Activity Stream tab. On a single idea, the native WordPress comment form is then replaced with a BuddyPress activity comment thread and reply box. This option is available only when the BuddyPress Activity component is active and BuddyBoss is not.
Is Youzify supported?
Section titled “Is Youzify supported?”Yes. When Youzify is active, the plugin adapts the activity type and the comment form so idea activity and replies display correctly.
