Plugin Settings
Find the settings at WB Plugins > Check-ins. The free plugin’s options live on the General tab. Click Save Changes to store them.
General tab
Section titled “General tab”Enable Check-ins Tab
Section titled “Enable Check-ins Tab”A checkbox that shows or hides the Check-ins tab on member profiles. When enabled, each member has a profile tab listing the locations saved to their Check-ins tab. Enabled by default.
Rename Check-ins Tab
Section titled “Rename Check-ins Tab”A text field that sets the label of the profile tab. Leave it blank to use the default label, “Check-ins”. The tab’s URL slug is derived from this name.
Manage Location Profile Field Visibility
Section titled “Manage Location Profile Field Visibility”A checkbox that hides the extended-profile “Location” field. When enabled, the Location field is hidden on the profile view and edit screens (it stays available on the registration page). When disabled, the field is shown. This controls visibility of the field only.
The plugin creates a text extended-profile field named “Location” automatically if one does not already exist and the XProfile component is active.
API Key
Section titled “API Key”The Google Maps API key, with a Verify button and a Generate API Key link. See Google Maps API Key for details.
Pro tabs
Section titled “Pro tabs”The settings screen also shows tabs labelled Map Settings (PRO), xProfile Location (PRO), Group Location (PRO), Members Mashup (PRO), and BP Groups Directory (PRO). These are previews of features available in BuddyPress Check-ins Pro, such as group location fields and maps on member and group directories. They are not configurable in the free plugin.
