Each course instructor gets an author archive that lists only the courses they authored. This is the page the instructors shortcode and instructor links point to.

How it works

When a visitor opens an author archive with ?post_type=course (for example the link from an instructor card), the addon:

  • Finds the courses authored by that user (matched against the course’s instructor meta).
  • Limits the archive query to those course IDs, so the archive shows the instructor’s courses rather than a mixed post list.

If the instructor has no courses, the query is left unchanged.

Instructor profile links resolve to the best available target, in this order:

  1. The LifterLMS Social Learning student profile, when that add-on is active.
  2. The BuddyPress member profile, when BuddyPress is active (using the current BuddyPress URL function for the installed version).
  3. The standard WordPress author posts URL otherwise.
