Pricing and discounts

WB Plugins > Price Quote > Pricing & Discounts

Pro can show a discount on the quote itself, so the customer sees the rate they would get rather than having to ask. There are two independent discounts and a validity period. Both discounts are off until you turn them on - by default quotes are sent at full price.

The discount is calculated when the quote is submitted, shown on the quote form and included in the quote emails. It is a headline figure on the quote; it does not rewrite WooCommerce’s own product prices.

Off by default. Turn on Volume-Based Discounts and set three tiers. Each tier is a minimum number of products in the quote and a percentage:

Tier Default minimum products Default discount
Tier 1 10 5%
Tier 2 25 10%
Tier 3 50 15%

The discount is based on the total number of products in the quote. The highest tier the quantity reaches is the one applied - a 60-product quote gets Tier 3, not all three added together. The quote shows the percentage and which tier it fell into.

Off by default. Turn on Role-Based Pricing and set a percentage per WordPress user role.

This only applies to a signed-in customer, because a role belongs to a user account. If the customer has more than one role, the best discount wins, so someone who is both a wholesaler and a subscriber is never quoted the worse of the two rates.

A volume discount and a role discount can both appear on the same quote; they are separate lines.

Quote Validity Period (Days) (default 15) sets how long the quoted price is stated to hold. It is shown on the quote as a “valid until” date. This is the pricing statement to the customer; the working expiry that changes a quote’s status is set on the Quote Management tab.
