Setup Wizard
The first time you activate SnipShare, it opens a four-step setup wizard to get you started. You can re-open it at wp-admin/admin.php?page=snipshare-setup, or skip it entirely and configure the plugin from the settings page.
Step 1 — Welcome
Section titled “Step 1 — Welcome”Introduces SnipShare and confirms that your front-end Pastes page was created, with a link to view it. Click Let’s Go! to continue, or Skip Wizard to jump straight to settings.
Step 2 — Sample Content
Section titled “Step 2 — Sample Content”Optionally creates five ready-made sample pastes so you can see SnipShare in action immediately. The samples demonstrate multi-file pastes, syntax highlighting, and tags:
- Hello World — a multi-file HTML/CSS/JavaScript page
- WordPress Custom REST Endpoint (PHP)
- Python File Utilities (Python)
- SQL Query Cheatsheet (SQL)
- React useDebounce Hook (TypeScript/TSX)
Leave the checkbox ticked and click Continue to create them, or Skip.
Step 3 — Quick Settings
Section titled “Step 3 — Quick Settings”Set the three most common options. All of these can be changed later from the settings page:

Click Save & Finish.
Step 4 — Complete
Section titled “Step 4 — Complete”Confirms setup is done and offers quick links to view the Pastes page, create a paste, open plugin settings, and manage all pastes.
