Member Experience
This page describes what a logged-in member sees once the site owner has enabled the PeepSo EDD tabs.
Finding the tabs
Section titled “Finding the tabs”When a member views their own PeepSo profile, up to two extra tabs appear in the profile navigation, depending on what the owner enabled:
- EDD Checkout (or the custom label set by the owner)
- Purchase History (or the custom label set by the owner)
These tabs are only shown to the member on their own profile. Visiting another member’s profile does not show them.
Buying from the profile
Section titled “Buying from the profile”On the EDD Checkout tab, the member sees EDD’s standard checkout, rendered inside their profile:
- Items already in the EDD cart appear in the checkout.
- The member can remove a cart item; the plugin returns them to the checkout tab afterward instead of the site’s standalone checkout page.
- On completing payment, the member lands on a purchase confirmation view inside the profile that shows the EDD receipt.
The cart itself is EDD’s normal cart. Members add downloads to the cart through the usual EDD product pages or buttons; PeepSo EDD provides the in-profile checkout surface for that cart.
Reviewing past orders
Section titled “Reviewing past orders”On the Purchase History tab, the member sees a list of their own EDD orders (EDD’s [purchase_history]). From there they can:
- Open an individual order to view its receipt, shown inside the profile.
- Page through their order history using pagination that stays on the profile tab.
Purchase activity in the stream
Section titled “Purchase activity in the stream”If the owner enabled purchase activity and the member has not opted out, completing an order posts an activity item to the PeepSo stream on the member’s behalf, announcing the purchase and showing previews of the bought downloads. Members control this from their preferences; see Member preferences.
