Installation
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”Install and activate PeepSo and Easy Digital Downloads 3.0 or newer. See Requirements.
Install the plugin
Section titled “Install the plugin”- Upload the plugin files to
/wp-content/plugins/peepso-edd, or install the ZIP from Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. - Activate the plugin through the Plugins screen.
Nothing needs to be set up after activation. Every setting has a working default:
- The My Downloads tab is shown on each member’s own profile, 10 orders, licenses or subscriptions per page, with license keys and subscriptions shown when those EDD extensions are active.
- Purchase posts are on, public, with a product card, using the text
{user_name} purchased {product_list}. - Members share their purchases unless they switch it off under Profile > Preferences.
Activation does not overwrite settings you already saved.
Where to configure it
Section titled “Where to configure it”- PeepSo > Configuration > EDD - all settings. See Admin settings.
- WB Plugins > PeepSo EDD - an Overview (what members get, which EDD extensions are detected), Support (FAQ with documentation and support links), a License tab, and a Settings link to the PeepSo configuration tab.
A Settings link is also added to the plugin’s row on the Plugins screen.
License key and updates
Section titled “License key and updates”Every feature works without a license key. The key enables automatic updates.
Go to WB Plugins > PeepSo EDD > License, paste your key and click Activate License. A 1.x key is already filled in; click Activate License once if the status is not Active.
Upgrading from 1.5.x
Section titled “Upgrading from 1.5.x”- The EDD Checkout profile tab is removed. Members pay on the store checkout page. Old profile checkout links redirect to the store checkout.
- Purchase History is replaced by My Downloads. Old Purchase History and order detail links redirect to the member’s My Downloads tab.
- Your tab on/off choice, tab label and post text are kept. A label you left empty now shows “My Downloads”.
- Existing purchase posts keep their product card.
- EDD 3.0 or newer and PHP 8.1 or newer are now required.
