Installation
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”Confirm that both PeepSo and Easy Digital Downloads are installed and active. See Requirements. If either is inactive, PeepSo EDD deactivates itself on load.
Install the plugin
Section titled “Install the plugin”- Upload the plugin files to
/wp-content/plugins/peepso-edd, or install the ZIP from Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. - Activate the plugin through the Plugins screen in WordPress.
What happens on activation
Section titled “What happens on activation”When both PeepSo and EDD are active, activating PeepSo EDD sets these defaults automatically:
- Enables the purchase activity setting (
wbpeddi_purchase_activity_setting_display). - Enables both profile tabs: EDD Checkout (
wbpeddi_enable_edd-checkout) and Purchase History (wbpeddi_enable_edd-purchase-history). - Sets the default activity message template to
{user_name} purchased {product_list}. - Sets the per-member “add purchase details in activity” preference to on for existing users (this one-time backfill is guarded by the
wbpeddi_default_values_setsite option so it runs only once).
After activation, if both host plugins are active, you are redirected to the plugin’s settings page.
Where to configure it
Section titled “Where to configure it”The plugin adds settings in two places:
- PeepSo > Configuration > PeepSo EDD Addon - the working settings for tabs and activity (see Admin settings).
- WB Plugins > PeepSo EDD - the Wbcom admin wrapper page with the Welcome and FAQ tabs and license/support links.
A Settings link is also added to the plugin’s row on the Plugins screen; it points to the PeepSo configuration tab.
