PeepSo bbPress Addon Overview
PeepSo bbPress Addon connects your bbPress forums to a PeepSo community so that forum activity, member forum history, and group discussions live inside PeepSo instead of on separate bbPress pages.
What the addon does
Section titled “What the addon does”When both PeepSo and bbPress are active, the addon adds the following to your community:
- A Forums tab on every PeepSo user profile that shows the member’s bbPress topics, replies, favorites, and subscriptions using PeepSo styling.
- Activity stream posts whenever a member creates a forum, topic, or reply, using message templates you control.
- PeepSo notifications to forum and topic subscribers when new topics and replies are posted.
- PeepSo Group forums, so a bbPress forum can be linked to a PeepSo group and shown as a tab inside that group.
- PeepSo avatars in place of the default bbPress avatars on forum pages.
- Rewriting of bbPress profile URLs to the matching PeepSo profile URLs.
How it is built
Section titled “How it is built”The addon hooks into PeepSo’s own extension points (peepso_init,
peepso_navigation_profile, peepso_admin_config_tabs,
peepso_profile_preferences, peepso_group_segment_*, PeepSoActivity,
PeepSoNotifications) and into bbPress action and filter hooks
(bbp_new_topic_post_extras, bbp_new_reply_post_extras,
bbp_new_forum_post_extras, and the bbPress user profile filters). It stores
its settings inside PeepSo configuration rather than in a standalone options
table.
Licensing
Section titled “Licensing”PeepSo bbPress Addon is a commercial (Pro) plugin from Wbcom Designs. It ships with an Easy Digital Downloads license module for updates. See Installation and the license question in the FAQ.
