Manage License

BuddyVendor is a premium plugin that receives automatic updates through Easy Digital Downloads (EDD) Software Licensing. Adding and activating your license key keeps the plugin up to date.

Add and activate your key

1. In the WordPress admin, open the license screen at WB Plugins (the license page, wbcom-license-page).
2. Paste the license key you received with your purchase into the license key field.
3. Click Activate License.

Once activated, the license status shows as valid and the site can pull plugin updates automatically.

Deactivate a license

Use the Deactivate License action on the same screen to free the activation, for example before moving the license to another site. Each license has an activation limit; when you reach it, activation fails with a “reached its activation limit” message.

What is stored

• The license key is stored in the edd_wbcom_buddyvendor_license_key option.
• The license status (valid or invalid) is stored in the edd_wbcom_buddyvendor_license_status option.

Entering a new key clears the previous status so the new key must be reactivated.

Common license messages

The activation screen surfaces the reason when a key cannot be activated, including:

• Your license key expired on a given date.
• Your license key has been disabled.
• Invalid license.
• Your license is not active for this URL.
• This appears to be an invalid license key for this product.
• Your license key has reached its activation limit.
