Does this plugin require BuddyPress?
Section titled “Does this plugin require BuddyPress?”Yes. BuddyPress must be installed and active. If it is not, the plugin deactivates itself on activation and shows a notice.
What can I restrict for non-logged-in visitors?
Section titled “What can I restrict for non-logged-in visitors?”You can lock BuddyPress components (Members, Activity, Profile, Groups), individual WordPress pages, and public custom post types. Locked content shows a login prompt, a custom message, or a redirect, and is hidden from front-end search. See Visitor Restrictions.
What do visitors see on a restricted page?
Section titled “What do visitors see on a restricted page?”Whatever you choose on the Visitor Restrictions tab: the built-in login and registration form with your message, a login form from another plugin (via its shortcode), or a redirect to a page you pick.
How do I let members hide their own profile?
Section titled “How do I let members hide their own profile?”Enable profile-visibility control on the Profile Visibility tab. Members then get a front-end selector to set their profile to public, all members, friends only, or admins only. See Profile Visibility.
Can I make members finish their profile before using the site?
Section titled “Can I make members finish their profile before using the site?”Yes. On the Profile Progress tab, enable any of the mandatory requirements (all required fields, a profile photo, a cover image). Members who have not met them are redirected to the matching profile edit screen with a reminder. Super admins are exempt. See Profile Progress.
Can I set different rules for different members?
Section titled “Can I set different rules for different members?”Yes. Membership Restrictions are configured per WordPress role (administrators excluded). Each role can have its own directory blocks, group limits, friendship limits, and messaging limits. See Membership Restrictions.
How do I limit how many groups a member can join or create?
Section titled “How do I limit how many groups a member can join or create?”On the Membership Restrictions tab, under Group Participation Limits, set a maximum for joining (per group status) and for creating groups. You can also cap the number of members per group. See Per-role limits in practice.
Can I limit how many messages a member sends?
Section titled “Can I limit how many messages a member sends?”Yes. Messaging Constraints let you cap total messages per account and per hour, day, month, and year, cap the number of distinct recipients, and require that members only message friends.
Are administrators affected by the member restrictions?
Section titled “Are administrators affected by the member restrictions?”No. The group, friendship, and messaging limits skip the administrator role, and administrators are not shown in the role picker.
Does the plugin add a progress bar?
Section titled “Does the plugin add a progress bar?”Yes. When enabled on the Profile Progress tab, a completion percentage bar appears on member profile headers, honoring each member’s profile-visibility setting.
Does it work with BuddyBoss and Youzify?
Section titled “Does it work with BuddyBoss and Youzify?”The plugin detects the BuddyBoss theme and platform and adjusts its profile hooks and templates accordingly. When Youzify is active it adds a Profile Visibility tab to the Youzify profile and enforces profile locking there. reCAPTCHA for BuddyPress is also detected for the login and registration form.
Is there a REST API?
Section titled “Is there a REST API?”No. The plugin exposes its behavior through WordPress AJAX actions, a login shortcode, and PHP hooks. See Options and AJAX.
