Installation and requirements
Document Preview For WooCommerce adds a document preview button to WooCommerce single product pages. Shoppers can read a PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, text file, or a shared cloud document inside a modal on the product page, without downloading it first.
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- WordPress 5.0 or higher (tested up to 6.9)
- PHP 7.4 or higher
- WooCommerce installed and active
WooCommerce is mandatory. If it is not active the plugin deactivates itself and shows an admin notice with a link to install or activate WooCommerce.
Install
Section titled “Install”- Upload the
woo-document-previewfolder to/wp-content/plugins/, or install it from Dashboard > Plugins > Add New. - Activate the plugin from the Plugins screen.
- On activation you are redirected to the plugin’s settings page.
- Open WB Plugins > Document Preview to see the Overview, the Documents list, the Free vs Pro comparison, and Help & FAQ.
Where things live
Section titled “Where things live”- Product previews are configured per product, in the “Document previews” meta box on the product edit screen.
- The admin panel sits under the shared WB Plugins menu, as Document Preview.
- Attached documents are also readable over the REST API and can be placed with a shortcode or a block.
