Does this plugin work without the Reign theme?
Section titled “Does this plugin work without the Reign theme?”No. The addon requires the Reign theme to be the active theme. If it is not, the plugin deactivates itself and shows an admin notice. It is a styling and compatibility layer for Reign specifically.
Does it require Tutor LMS?
Section titled “Does it require Tutor LMS?”Yes. Tutor LMS (tutor/tutor.php) must be installed and active. Without it, the plugin deactivates itself.
Do I need Tutor LMS Pro?
Section titled “Do I need Tutor LMS Pro?”No. The addon works with the free Tutor LMS. Tutor LMS Pro adds more to the underlying course experience but is not required by this addon.
Does it add courses, quizzes, or certificates?
Section titled “Does it add courses, quizzes, or certificates?”No. All course features come from Tutor LMS. This addon applies Reign styling and adds two display shortcodes plus an optional profile tab. It does not create courses or course data.
What is the difference between [reign_tutor_course] and [tutor_course]?
Section titled “What is the difference between [reign_tutor_course] and [tutor_course]?”[reign_tutor_course] forwards the standard Tutor LMS parameters to [tutor_course] and adds Reign styling on top, plus the ability to list a user’s enrolled courses (my_courses="yes"), show progress bars, filter by completion status, choose a layout, and hide individual card elements.
Do I need BuddyPress or PeepSo?
Section titled “Do I need BuddyPress or PeepSo?”Only for the “My Courses” profile tab. The tab attaches to BuddyPress, BuddyBoss, or PeepSo profiles. The course shortcodes work on any page without a community platform.
Whose courses does the profile tab show?
Section titled “Whose courses does the profile tab show?”The profile owner’s courses, detected from the profile being viewed, not the logged-in visitor’s. Detection uses the active platform’s displayed-user methods, falling back to the current user.
Where are the settings?
Section titled “Where are the settings?”On the Reign options page, in the TutorLMS tab. The plugin’s Settings link opens admin.php?page=reign-options&tab=tutorlms. The one setting, the profile tab toggle, is under the Profile Integration sub-tab.
Does it support dark mode and RTL?
Section titled “Does it support dark mode and RTL?”Yes. Styling is driven by Reign’s --reign-* design tokens, so it follows Reign’s light, dark, and auto color modes. Right-to-left stylesheets ship for both the admin and the front end.
Does it add REST endpoints or database tables?
Section titled “Does it add REST endpoints or database tables?”No. There are no REST endpoints, custom tables, blocks, cron events, or WP-CLI commands. There are no AJAX actions in the current release.
Is the plugin translated?
Section titled “Is the plugin translated?”The 2.2.0 release bundles machine-translated first-pass translations for Arabic, German, German (formal), Spanish, French, Italian, and Dutch. Refine them per site with a tool such as Loco Translate.
