Overview Tab
Section titled “Overview Tab”The Overview tab is the first screen under WB Plugins > BuddyPress Giphy. It gives you a snapshot of the current configuration without digging through the individual settings.
Status banner
Section titled “Status banner”If no API key is set for the active provider, a warning banner appears at the top:
A [provider] API key is required before the GIF picker will work.
The provider name (GIPHY or Klipy) matches your selection. The banner links directly to the General tab where you can add the key.
Stats grid
Section titled “Stats grid”Four summary cards show the current state:
| Card | What it shows |
|---|---|
| API Key | “Set” or “Missing”, whether the active provider has a key |
| GIFs Per Search | The number of GIFs loaded when the picker opens or a search runs |
| Content Rating (GIPHY) or Content Filter (Klipy) | The active filtering level |
| Areas Enabled | How many supported areas have GIFs turned on |
Current Configuration table
Section titled “Current Configuration table”A table lists the on/off state of each area:
- Profile activity
- Group activity
- Private messages
- API key status for the active provider
Each row that is currently “Off” shows a “Turn on” link that goes directly to the General tab. The BuddyPress rows appear only when BuddyPress is active.
Help and Support links
Section titled “Help and Support links”At the bottom of the Overview tab there are three buttons:
- Manage License: goes to the License tab
- Read Documentation: opens the documentation site
- Get Support: opens the Wbcom Designs support page
When to use the Overview tab
Section titled “When to use the Overview tab”Check this tab after any change to confirm the configuration looks right. It is also a useful first stop when a member reports that the GIF button is missing: the “Areas Enabled” count and the API key status tell you at a glance what might be wrong.
