Global Status Suggestions
Global statuses are ready-made status messages you define as an admin. Members see them as one-click buttons below the composer, so posting a common status takes a single tap.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”When a member opens the status composer, the global statuses you defined appear as suggestion buttons. Clicking one fills the composer with that text; the member can post it as-is or edit it first.
20 defaults out of the box
Section titled “20 defaults out of the box”Until you save your own list, the plugin shows 20 built-in suggestions from buddypress_status_get_default_global_statuses(), such as:
- Working from home
- Feeling grateful
- On a coffee break
- In a meeting
- Available to chat
- Learning something new
- Celebrating a win
- Deep in focus mode
As soon as you save at least one custom status, your list replaces the defaults.
Admin controls
Section titled “Admin controls”From the Global Status settings tab you can add, edit, reorder (drag and drop), and delete suggestions, add emojis from a quick picker, and import or export the list as JSON. Suggestions are stored in the bpsts_global_statuses option.
