Feelings and Activities
Members can tag a status with a feeling or activity, the same way people say “feeling happy” or “watching a movie” on social networks.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”When the feature is enabled, the status composer shows an activity button. Selecting an activity prompts the member with a question (for example, choosing “Eating” asks “What are you eating?”). The answer is appended to the status text and shown with the activity’s icon.
The 11 default activities
Section titled “The 11 default activities”The plugin ships with eleven built-in activities, defined by buddypress_status_mood_categories():
| Activity | Question prompt |

| Celebrating | What are you celebrating? |
| Watching | What are you watching? |
| Eating | What are you eating? |
| Drinking | What are you drinking? |
| Travelling | Where are you going? |
| Listening | What are you listening to? |
| Looking for | What are you looking for? |
| Thinking | What are you thinking about? |
| Reading | What are you reading? |
| Playing | What are you playing? |
| Supporting | What are you supporting? |
Customisable by the admin
Section titled “Customisable by the admin”Site owners can edit the default activities, change their icons, reorder them, and add their own, all from the Feeling Activities settings tab. A library of quick templates (Volunteering, Mentoring, Coding, Teaching, and more) is available for one-click adding. Default activities can be edited but not deleted.
Turning it on or off
Section titled “Turning it on or off”The whole feature is controlled by the “Enable feelings and activities in status updates” toggle in General settings. When off, the activity button is hidden and members post plain-text statuses.
