Quick Start
Schedule your first activity update in about a minute. This walks through the whole flow once so you know what to expect.
Schedule an update
Section titled “Schedule an update”- Go to any page with the activity post form: the site-wide Activity page, your profile, or a group you belong to.
- Type your update in the “What’s new?” box, including any links, mentions, or media.
- Click the clock icon in the posting toolbar, then choose Schedule Activity from the small dropdown.
- In the popup, pick a Date (today up to 90 days ahead) and a Time, then choose AM or PM.
- When both date and time are filled in, the Next button becomes active. Click it.
- A confirmation line appears in the posting area, for example “Scheduled For: Dec 25, 2024 at 9:00 AM”.
- Click the main Schedule button to submit.
A success message confirms the update is scheduled. It is now saved on the server, so you do not need to stay logged in.
See it in your Scheduled Posts
Section titled “See it in your Scheduled Posts”Open your profile and click the Scheduled Posts tab (its label shows a count of pending updates). Your scheduled update is listed here, visible only to you, until it publishes.
You can also jump here at any time from the clock icon: click it, then choose View Scheduled Activities.
What happens at the scheduled time
Section titled “What happens at the scheduled time”A background task checks for due updates every minute. When your update’s time arrives it is published into the normal activity feed, where others can see, like, and comment on it, and it drops off your Scheduled Posts list. Expect it to appear within one to two minutes of the chosen time.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Times use the site’s timezone, set in wp-admin under Settings, then General, not your device’s local time.
- The earliest you can schedule is today (past times today are blocked); the latest is 90 days out.
- There is no in-place edit for a scheduled update. To change one, cancel it and create a new one. Use Clear Schedule in the popup to unschedule before you submit.
