License
Section titled “License”Go to WB Plugins > BuddyPress Giphy > License to activate your license, check its status, and manage updates.
An active license gives you automatic updates delivered through your WordPress dashboard. Without an active license the plugin continues to work, but you will not receive update notifications or be able to update from within WordPress.
Finding your license key
Section titled “Finding your license key”Your license key is in your Wbcom Designs account. Go to wbcomdesigns.com/profile, log in, and copy the key listed for BuddyPress Giphy.
Activating the license
Section titled “Activating the license”- Paste your license key into the License key field.
- Click Activate License.
The plugin contacts the Wbcom Designs license server and checks the key. If activation succeeds, the status updates to show the license is active. Activating and deactivating both require the manage_options capability.
If activation fails, you will see an error message. Common causes:

| Invalid license | The key does not exist or was copied incorrectly. |
| Not active for this URL | The key is valid but was issued for a different site. |
| License expired | The license has passed its expiry date. Renew at wbcomdesigns.com. |
| License disabled | The key was revoked. Contact support. |
| Activation limit reached | You have used all available sites on this license. Deactivate an old site first or upgrade your license tier. |
License statuses
Section titled “License statuses”| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Valid / Active | The key is valid and this site is registered. Updates are available. |
| Expired | The license passed its expiry date. Renew to restore updates. |
| Invalid | The key was rejected by the license server. |
| Disabled | The key was revoked by Wbcom Designs. |
When an active license is close to its expiry date, a warning appears showing how many days remain. Lifetime licenses do not expire.
Deactivating the license
Section titled “Deactivating the license”When the license is active, the button changes to Deactivate License. Click it to remove this site from the license and free the activation slot for another site. The plugin continues to work after deactivation. Deactivate before migrating or cloning the site to a new domain.
