Navigate to WB Plugins > Auto Friend, to access the general settings of the plugin:
Global Friend
Type the name of the users to add them to the global friend list. If you add a user to the global friend list, a friendship connection will be automatically established between that user and any individual who registers on the website.
- Befriend All: Click the “Befriend All” button to include existing members as friends for any particular member added to the global list.
- Remove: Click the “Remove” button to remove the particular member from the Global friend list
Select User roles for Auto Friendship
This feature allows you to select specific user roles whose members will automatically be added as friends to all users on the site.
- User Roles: Choose particular user roles (e.g., administrators, moderators) to have members of these roles automatically added as friends to all other users.
- Member Types: Similarly, you can select specific member types (e.g., VIP members, premium members) for automatic friend addition.
To select multiple roles, hold down the Ctrl key (on Windows) or the Command key (on Mac) while making your selections.
How It Works( For Newly Registered Members):
- Role/Member Type Selection:
- Select which roles or member types should be included in the friend list of newly registered users. For example, you might want all new users to automatically be friends with all Moderators and Admins.
- Registration Process:
- When a new user signs up, the plugin checks the predefined roles or member types.
- It identifies existing users with these roles or member types.
- Friend List Creation:
- The plugin then automatically adds these identified users to the friend list of the newly registered user.
- This process can help new users integrate into the community faster by connecting them with key members.
Sync Friendship ensures that the chosen role members are synchronized as friends for every existing user.
How It Works( For Existing Members):
To start the synchronization process, click the “Sync Friendships” button.
- Progress Bar: A progress bar will appear, showing the current status of the synchronization.
- Synchronization Process: This process will add members with the selected roles as friends to all existing users on the site.
