Admins can enable anonymous activity posting for specific areas by navigating to:
WB Plugins > BuddyPress Anonymous Activity.
Users will see the option to post anonymously in the following enabled areas.
- Sitewide Activity: Allows anonymous posts on the main activity feed.
- Single Groups: Enables anonymous posting within group activity streams.
- User Profile Page: Allows users to post anonymously on their profile’s activity feed.
How to Post Anonymous Activity
Users can post activities anonymously in a few simple steps, depending on where the feature is enabled:
- Navigate to the Desired Section:
- Go to the Sitewide Activity feed, your Profile Activity page, or the activity stream of a specific Group.
- Compose a New Post:
- Click the activity posting box in the selected area.
- Enable Anonymous Posting:
- Check the “Anonymous Activity” checkbox visible below the activity form.
- Submit the Activity:
- Type your activity update and click the Post button.
Activity Filtering
Users can filter activity streams to view only anonymously created posts, using the activity filter provided by BuddyPress.
