Usage
Common tasks, from both sides of the hiring journey. Every screen below is rendered by WP Job Manager or one of its add-ons; this plugin only frames it inside the profile.
Post a job
Section titled “Post a job”- Open your own profile and click the Jobs tab.
- Go to Post Job and fill in WP Job Manager’s submission form.
- Submit. The listing now appears under My Jobs on your profile.
Who may post is decided by WP Job Manager, not by this plugin. If posting is denied, the member simply does not see the Post Job form.
Manage and track your jobs
Section titled “Manage and track your jobs”- My Jobs lists the jobs you posted, with WP Job Manager’s own edit and status controls.
- Long histories load more entries on demand, so the dashboard stays fast.
Add a resume
Section titled “Add a resume”Needs the Resume Manager add-on.
- Open your profile and click the Resumes tab.
- Go to Add Resume and complete Resume Manager’s form.
- The resume now shows under My Resumes on your profile. You can keep more than one.
Apply for a job and track it
Section titled “Apply for a job and track it”- Open a job listing on the site and apply there. Any logged-in member can apply; that is WP Job Manager’s behaviour, and the profile matches it.
- With the Applications add-on active, open your profile, go to the Resumes tab, then Applied Jobs.
- Each application is listed with the status the employer set.
Get notified when someone applies
Section titled “Get notified when someone applies”With the Applications add-on active, the job author receives a BuddyPress notification for each application. Turn it off under Application notifications in the General settings if you do not want it.
Message a candidate
Section titled “Message a candidate”When the BuddyPress Messages component is active, a candidate’s contact details carry a Send Private Message link that opens a BuddyPress private message to that member.
Publish jobs and resumes to the activity feed
Section titled “Publish jobs and resumes to the activity feed”New jobs and new resumes can each post to the BuddyPress activity stream. Both are toggles in the General settings. When a job or resume is later trashed or deleted, its activity entry is removed automatically.
Save jobs and manage alerts
Section titled “Save jobs and manage alerts”- With the Bookmarks add-on, saved jobs appear on the My Bookmarks tab.
- With the Job Alerts add-on, members manage their alerts on the Job Alerts tab, without leaving their profile.
