Suggestion Widgets
The plugin registers two widgets. Add either from Appearance > Widgets (or the block-based widget editor) into any sidebar or widget area.
Available widgets

Both widgets display only to logged-in members, and both respect the Enable Profile Matching master toggle on the General tab. When matching is off, or the viewer has no matches above the configured minimum, the widget renders nothing.
Adding a widget
Section titled “Adding a widget”- Go to Appearance > Widgets.
- Find BuddyPress Friend & Follow Suggestion or (Swiper) BuddyPress Friend Suggestion.
- Drag it into a sidebar or widget area.
- Configure the options below.
- Click Save.
Widget options
Section titled “Widget options”- Title - heading shown above the suggestion cards.
- Number of members to show - how many suggestion cards to display.
- Minimum match percentage - hides members whose compatibility score falls below this value.
- Layout (standard widget) - Cards, List, or Grid. The Swiper widget always uses the swipe-card layout.
The widget adapts to its placement: a tighter card in a narrow sidebar, a more comfortable grid in a wide content area.
Prefer the block or a shortcode?
Section titled “Prefer the block or a shortcode?”To place suggestions inside page or post content rather than a widget area, use the Friend & Follow Suggestions block or the shortcodes. All three surfaces share the same scoring engine and dismissal state.
